Abstract

This study explores the features of Lead Monofluoride (PbF) as a candidate in determining the permanent electric dipole moment of the electron (e-EDM). It accomplished three goals: 1) Measurement of the molecular dipole moments of the PbF molecule, 2) Proposal of the biased Stark guides necessary for the beam resonance detection of the e-EDM sensitive transition, and 3) Re-evaluation of the magnetic g-factor of the PbF molecule. All of these efforts are made toward a non-zero e-EDM measurement, which has great significances in revealing the New Physics beyond the Standard Model.
