MATH 1503: College Algebra Textbook

Abstract

This textbook was used at the University of Oklahoma in MATH 1503 during the fall semester of 2018. This OpenStax book is available for free at http://cnx.org/content/col11759/latest MATH 1523 Course Description: Prerequisite: 0123 at OU, or satisfactory score on the placement test, or, for incoming freshmen direct from high school, satisfactory score on the ACT/SAT. Review of basic algebraic skills such as multiplying and factoring polynomials, rational expressions, linear equations and inequalities, exponents and radicals, absolute values. Other topics include the concept, notation, and algebra of functions, functions of linear, polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic type, systems of equations. A student may not receive credit for this course and 1643.
