Abstract

Research involving rest periods during resistance training for older adults is limited. Understanding optimal rest periods can help exercise professionals develop efficient and effective training programs for older adults. The purpose of this study was to determing if 1-, 3-, or 5-minute rest periods between sets of the leg press exercise would increase volume (number of repetitions) among older adults 60-90 years of age.
