Channel-Bed Degradation in Major Oklahoma Streams Arkansas River Part I of V (FHWA-07-06 2191)

Abstract

Transportation planning is an important process in the development of Oklahoma and the United States. Gaps traveling from one place to another are addressed in this research. The purpose of the research is to analyze the patterns and changes of activities related to transportation. Some of the major factors that affect transportation are population, education, employment, income, and transportation behaviors. Depending on the needs of the people, their travel patterns vary. This project produces maps providing the visual pattern of the data related to transportation variables. These maps would form the basis of any transportation analysis. The maps generated in this research pertain to variables in population, education, employment, and income for transportation planning.
