Global migration has increased, with Iranian immigrants representing a growing population in the United States. This study examined the associations between acculturation, dietary changes, obesity, and social support among first-generation Iranian immigrants. Using a cross-sectional survey of 163 participants aged 18 and older, we assessed dietary changes, acculturation based on Berry's bi-dimensional model, and social support from home and host countries. The results indicated no significant association between acculturation and dietary changes or overweight status after controlling for demographic factors. However, age was negatively associated with dietary changes, and females were less likely to be overweight. Social support from home and host countries did not significantly predict acculturation. These findings highlight the complexity of acculturation and its limited direct impact on dietary and weight outcomes in this population. Addressing the unique dietary and social needs of Iranian immigrants through culturally tailored interventions may enhance their health and adaptation in host countries.
